The City of Oak Ridge Department of Recreation & Parks announces the creation of the mixed youth and adult dodgeball league. New to the sport for fall 2016, players may be 16 years of age or older to play. This program offers teams of 8 players the chance to participate in an exciting, entertaining, and low cost team sport to be played at the Oak Ridge Civic Center gymnasium. Youth participants are allowed to participate on a team of their own, or join up with a team of adults to play.
Cost for participating in this new and exciting league is $150 per team, and all non-resident participants will be subject to a $20 non-resident fee. Teams must consist of a minimum of 8 players. While both men and women are allowed to participate, there are no rules with regard to minimum numbers of a particular gender.
Teams interested in registering may do so by turning in the appropriate team registration paperwork and fee at the front desk of the Civic Center. Early registration opens September 12th, and will remain open until Monday, October 17th. Teams may register during the late registration period, subject to an additional $25 late fee, from October 18-22nd.
