City of Oak Ridge now accepting student representative applications for 2 advisory boards

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (Aug. 9, 2021) – The City of Oak Ridge is currently accepting applications for student representatives on the Environmental Quality Advisory Board (EQAB) and Traffic Safety Advisory Board (TSAB).

For EQAB, there are two vacancies: one term is for two (2) years ending on July 31, 2023, and one is for the balance of an unexpired term ending on July 31, 2022.

For TSAB, there is one vacancy: One (1) year commencing at time of appointment.

Applicants will be confirmed and appointed by City Council to serve the term(s) of office detailed above. To be considered, applicants must be residents of Oak Ridge and entering grade levels 8 through 12.

Applications and online submissions are due to the City Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2021. Late applications will not be considered.

The selection of student representatives will take place during the September meeting of City Council.
