We are pleased to be part of a community where education is held in such high regard. Oak Ridge City Schools has a well-earned reputation for excellence. Parents and caregivers interested in learning more about the Oak Ridge education system can visit the district site for information on enrollment requirements, pupil services, and up-to-date school news. In addition, the district site has a pull-down menu of links to individual city school websites.

Parents and caregivers also have the option of homeschooling their children for some or all of their education.

Andrea Salzman, local representative of Smoky Mountain Home Education Association, has created this Homeschool 101 video to help answer questions about Tennessee homeschooling.

In addition, the Home School Legal Defense Association provides answers to some Frequently Asked Questions, including how to comply with Tennessee's Laws.

Parents and caregivers who are interested in learning about options for area preschool programs as well as private or religious options for education in and around Oak Ridge may call the library at 425-3455.

Are you looking for fun, educational online activities? This list of websites was created by homeschooling parent, Andrea Salzman. We are sharing these links with her permission.
