Swim Lessons


The Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department offers swimming classes throughout the year.

Group Lessons      

Classes are Mon-Thurs for 2 week sessions

Location

All summer lessons are held at the Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool, 172 Providence Rd, Oak Ridge, TN 37830

Fee

Paid in-person at Civic Center front desk.

                • Group Lessons:  $70.00

Times  

Summer Session Classes times:

Session 1 –  June 3-11 (first week only will be Wed-Sat class due to school schedule)
 
Session 2 –  June 15-25
 
Session 3 –  June 6-16
 
With the exception of the first week…classes are
Mon-Thursday
9am, 10am, 11am, and 5pm

Levels

To find out more information about requirements for various swimming levels check out our Level Placement Guide.

We will test the swimmers on the first day of class to ensure they are at the proper level.

Registration

Summer Session Registration usually begins the first week of April

at the Oak Ridge Civic Center Front Desk – 1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830

Registration closes 1 week before the new session begins. This is for staffing purposes.

We will NOT take late registration.  Enrollment is limited.

 

What to bring to class     

Please bring a swimsuit, towel, and a smile! (Goggles are a good idea, but not necessary)

Any child not fully potty trained must wear a proper swim diaper.

Do NOT bring:  floaties, puddle jumpers, full face masks
